  • Columbia Seminary received a Lilly endowment that allows it to offer ReKindle grants that will make Impact Grants of up to $10,000 to support projects designed to enhance congregational vitality in a post-COVID-19 context to congregations that are accepted into the program. 2023: Click here

Mission

  • Mission Program Grants: Inspiring the development and growth of new worshiping communities and the transformation of existing congregations in partnering with mid councils and congregations is the focus of the Mission Development Resource Committee’s work. Disaster Assistance

  • Emergency Grant Resources through the Board of Pensions. In most cases, these are for any church worker/ minister enrolled in the Benefits Plan. These grants are up to $5,000. Starting in 2025, the eligibility criteria will be for anyone enrolled in either Medical or Pension (or both). In the case of an officially declared natural disaster, there is an additional program that may be offered in consultation with the Board of Pensions. In these cases, when they identify at least 8-10 church employees/ministers impacted, they have Emergency Assistance for Natural Disasters.
